Inspection, Testing & Maintenance

Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Inspections

• Visual inspection of fire pump, driver, controller, and associated components
• Verification of controller status, alarms, and power availability
• Suction and discharge pressure gauge readings
• Inspection of valves for proper position and supervision
• Check for leaks, abnormal noise, vibration, or overheating
• Diesel pump checks (when applicable): fuel level, oil level, coolant, batteries, and charger operation

Annual Testing

• Full functional testing of the fire pump and controller
• Annual flow test to verify pump performance against rated curve
• Automatic start testing from pressure drop
• Controller alarm and signal verification
• Relief valve operation testing (where installed)
• Churn test and performance documentation per NFPA 25
• Diesel pump load test and fuel system verification (if applicable)
